Reversible Flip‐Flop Using DNA
Hafiz Md. Hasan Babu · 2020
The reversible logic has been taken as a significant paradigm in low-power computing and it plays an important role in the synthesis of circuits for quantum computing. The reversible gates and reversible sequential circuits generate a unique output vector from input to output and output to input, i.e., that is a one-to-one mapping between input and output vectors. The Fredkin gate is a 3 × 3 reversible gate with three inputs and three outputs. It is also called a conservative gate, as the Hamming weight (number of logical one) of its inputs is equal to its outputs. The Fredkin gate can be implemented using DNA molecules and bio-chemistry operations. In DNA computing, the sticking system was first proposed to encoding the binary information by DNA molecules, so it is considered to simulate the Fredkin gate.
