Designing and Delivering an Effective Message
Miriam B. Larson, Barbara B. Lockee · 2013
Which is more important, the medium or the message? As you design the instructional message, you’ll realize the importance of having the medium and message working together to support a productive learning event. Understanding the basics of message design will help you avoid the potential clash (or “crash,” as in the image above) between your selected delivery approach and the content you wish to convey. This chapter will help you focus on maximizing “instructional impact” by appropriately organizing the learning environment to create an effective instructional message.
