Coordination Contracts

Kevin Lano, José Luiz Fiadeiro, Luís Andrade · 2002

This chapter defines the concept of coordination contract as a means of organising applications in terms of business rules or other required invariants which constrain the joint behaviour of the components they apply to. This approach to organisation of an application supports its adaption to changing requirements. We also show that some design patterns can be alternatively expressed in terms of contracts.
