Special Sessions

2020

Hardware Oriented Security and Trust is one of the scope topics in the ATS. The importance of hardware security is undoubted. It has already become a more and more popular topic in many conferences. In our session, we will discuss the hardware security from two aspects: (1) the hardware design oriented security test, which shows the security vulnerabilities in hardware design and their test methods, and (2) the security application aware hardware design, which shows how to design a hardware circuit for advanced cryptography Track B4: Special Session on Robust Power Converter Abstract: Silicon carbide (SiC) is one of the promising materials to achieve low onresistance, low switching loss, and high operating temperature in power converters. As these power converters need to be highly reliable, verification and testing on these circuits might become increasingly important. In particular, special cares against process variation and long-term reliability issues of a SiC device should be taken to make power converters and their circuit design robust. We also need to take into account for EMI noise in designing high-frequency power converters. In this special session, we will invite researchers working in this field so that they will provide us the presentations of state-of-the-art techniques in this field. By holding this session, we believe more researchers from both industry and academia related to power electronics, who had never attended ATS, will pay more attention to this symposium.
