When one considers the complicated bony structures of the skull, and their varying density and distance from the film on to the single plane of which their shadows are all cast, it is easy to understand why the production of good cranial radiograms in multiple positions, and the correct interpretation of the various shadows contained in them, is one of the most difficult tasks which the radiologist is called upon to perform.
