In the final chapter of this book, we provide an outlook on a few application areas and study designs where the Rasch model and related models can be particularly helpful. Like the previous two, this chapter does not go into as much detail as the chapters in the first and second part of the book, but aims at providing an overview and outlook. Topics treated in this chapter are computerized adaptive testing (CAT), test linking and equating, and longitudinal IRT models.
