The significant role played by Artificial Neural Networks is not known to all sufficiently. There is a tremendously inspiring future that comes with this application of artificial intelligence. The ANNs are built based on working or animal brain neurons, which gives them the ability to pick up and adapt to patterns through previous experiences. In this paper, we aim at presenting the use of ANNs in different types of cancer detection and treatment, including majorly fatal types such as Lung cancer, prostate cancer, Cervical cancer, Brain cancer, stomach cancer, Skin cancer, Colorectal cancer, Oral cancer, Bladder cancer as well as Breast cancer. The focus will be on the comparison between methods used by ANN to differentiate between malignant and non-malignant cells with high accuracy as compared to current prediction methods
