Study on Automated Change Impact Domain Analysis in Regression Testing

This paper presents an automated change impact domain analysis method after software change in software regression testing. Starting from the code change section, the method views the call relation graph related to the change code, finds out all change impact links, locates to functions, components and software, and generates a list of impact files of all change objects. The method is helpful for testing personnel to automate the analysis of change impact domain of the change code on the entire software when performing regression testing, so as to make the testing more sufficient and improve the testing effectiveness and efficiency.
