From the past to the present, businesses adapt to the conditions of the market and the age by always innovating to survive. Technology, one of the greatest developments of the age, affects all sectors, including the tourism industry and the quality of services offered. Considering the cost in this sector, it can be said that although restaurants were not very tech-savvy, in the beginning, they are now innovating with technology. One of the new applications that have been used recently in the technological sense is augmented reality, which contributes significantly to the quality of service. Augmented reality is defined as a new world created by transferring objects from the real world to a virtual environment. This application, which is expected to grow rapidly in the restaurant industry in the future, is already being used by some visionary restaurants today and there is positive feedback. This study focuses on evaluating the use of augmented reality applications in restaurants in terms of service quality. First, the use of the technology in restaurants was examined through an in-depth literature review, then four cases were discussed using case study analysis, which is one of the qualitative research methods, and an answer to the question of where augmented reality applications stand in terms of service quality was sought. It was concluded that the restaurants using the application provide a great competitive advantage in the market in terms of service quality and create loyalty between them and the restaurants and motivate the consumers.
