In modern times, cyber attacks are one of the main business problems. Classical protection only by an antivirus program and a firewall over the past ten years have been recognized as insufficient and incapable of providing reliable information protection. Intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS) are the next step in the development of network protection systems. The purpose of this article is to introduce the developed intrusion detection system (IDS) based on anomalies, capable of quickly detecting and classifying various attacks. The proposed IDS uses a backpropagation multilayer perceptron to study system behavior. The training of the system was based on the UNSW-NB-15 dataset and the results are consistent with the results obtained.
