Several miscommunications take place due to the addition of noise when any signal is transmitted to the receiver. To address this problem, a new window function has been contemplated that can be used for the design of FIR filter. Presented paper describes the replacement of window technique during which we proposed a new window function. Because of its spectrum features, the proposed window function, which is constructed from a concatenation of trigonometric functions, is adjustable in nature and shape are often altered consistent with the need by changing controlling parameter regulator. The simulation result shows the output of proposed FIR low pass filter when a signal has been filtered with the presented window function. The spectrum features of the proposed window function, such as Main–lobe width, Side-lobe roll off ratio and Ripple ratio are examined. Their spectral characteristic has been compared with the previously existing window function like Kaiser, Hamming, Tukey, Gaussian. The output of their simulation assured that the proposed window function have better spectral characteristics and signal to noise ratio while compared to the opposite existing window function.
