In a centralized system, like Facebook, Uber, and many others, security achievement can be possible, as the complete data is in a few hands which are the centralized entities. In the current scenario when billions of devices are to be connected with each other, security aspects become more challenging. Moreover, in the decentralized system, where true decentralization is still the challenge; security achievement is much harder. In these trust-less cases, Blockchain is proving to be secure, tamper-proof, and authentic. This chapter aims to present the integration of IoT applications with Blockchain to avoid many challenges. This chapter starts with the introduction of IoT followed by Blockchain and its technical background. Various IoT applications are discussed in integration with Blockchain to handle various challenges.
