Based on observations made at public junior high school number 1 Kediri Tabanan, especially in volleyball extracurricular activities, it was found that there was still a lack of explosive power of the leg muscles of the students which affected the volleyball achievement at the school. Related to this, research related to leg muscle explosive power was carried out through barrier jump training as high as 50 cm. The purpose of this training is to determine the effect of barrier jump training on leg muscle explosive power. The research sample amounted to 30 people who were taken randomly from 43 people in the existing population using the Pocock formula. The results showed that the barrier jumpt training as high as 50 cm increased the explosive power of the leg muscles by obtaining a mean difference in the treatment group of 5.3 cm and 3 cm in the control group with the percentage increase in leg muscle explosive power of 12.6% for the treatment group and 7.1 % for the control group.
