A Data Flow Design Tool and Method for IoT System Using Program Net

The bad design of IoT system data flow causes errors under certain circumstances. In this paper, we propose a kind of web application named data flow design tool, which can simulate data flow to discover data pile-up and help user redesign the IoT system. Using an autonomous driving system as an example, we present the usage of our tool and illustrate how data pile-up may cause problem in the data flow design. Then, we show that a user can redesign the system to avoid data pile-up and verify the data flow new design using our design tool.
