Code Smells indicate the defects in the programming which lead to depreciation in the quality of the software. These defects in the programming can be categorized as – architectural, design and implementation code smells. We conducted this study to analyze the source code of the sixteen versions of the open-source software: Apache Tomcat. Eleven metrices of the software were used to apply CRITIC-TOPSIS method. In this study metrices of architectural smells were considered to rank several versions of the Open-Source Software.
