Data mining may be used for modelling, identifying, and preventing criminal behavior. Criminology is the study of criminal behaviour’s characteristics. Crime analysis, in fact, entails investigating and identifying crimes, as well as their relationships to offenders. Because of the large quantity of crime records and the complexity of the links between various forms of data, criminology is a good field for using data mining methods. Several Machine Learning methodologies, such as supervised, semi-supervised, and unsupervised learning, are used on crime data to help improving projected crime accuracy. This research will be beneficial to local police stations in terms of crime prevention. The outcomes of system give idea about crime prediction and prevention. Several feature extractions approaches, as well as Machine Learning methodology and their advantages, will be discussed in this paper. There are also some drawbacks mentioned in previous research study. This paper also gives suggestions for future research on Predicting Criminal Behavior on social media.
