To achieve blind rendezvous in the cognitive radio network (CRN), most of the schemes have adapted channel hopping (CH) methods in the literature. By minimizing the period of these CH sequences, the maximum time to rendezvous can be minimized for asymmetric model of CRN. The short period is also helpful in saving the memory of the small wireless gadgets and sensors. In this paper, CH sequences are constructed with the help of optical orthogonal codes (OOCs) of different lengths. To achieve maximum rendezvous diversity within a short time, OOC should be constructed with minimum possible weight. In the proposed CH scheme, such required OOCs are constructed with the help of Skolem sequences, which is delivering better rendezvous performance in practical CRN.
