This Support vector machine (SVM) is one of the most popular linear classifiers in machine learning. It thrives on pattern recognition, numeral prediction, and, of course, classification. SVM aims to maximize the margin between the classes by drawing a line (hyperplane in dimensions greater than 2) that distinctly classifies the data points of each class. In this paper, we will test the performance of SVM combined with the n-gram technique on different popular databases (sentiment140, Amazon reviews, etc.) by using multiple metrics: Accuracy, Recall, Precision and F1-score.
