Software Defined Network became a popular technology which yields the key features of control, tractability and scalability. The controller of SDN suffers from different types of harmful issues such a Spoofing, flooding and Denial of Service attacks (DoS). Among them DoS gives more threat to the system, because the opponent cannot be easily traced. There should be no delay when packets starts traveling from source host to destination host. Flow rules are installed in the centralized SDN controller, which the paths are established in the switches. In this paper, a new method is approached to mitigate the DoS attacks, so as to avoid the timeouts, dropping of the packets and also mitigate the traffic and Controller's utilization. With our method, the response time and flow request of the controller has been increased. Finally the results are simulated and the performances are measured in terms of response time and flow request of the controller.
