Demand of Internet Services in Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) to IoT-Cloud Application Move

The key focus of enterprise organizations that operate globally is to provide better engagement with their customers, partner to enhance the quality of service in their supply chain, and add value to customer’s business by solving their existing issues or helping them to grow through creativity, innovation, and more market penetration. To achieve the preceding points, new requirement in digitalization era and to save cost, customers are moving their on-premises applications into cloud services. Wide area network (WAN) will play pivotal role to support the application shift, and countries are realigning their WAN service strategy from conventional MPLS to internet-based VPN solution to get best fit for the purpose of infrastructure development. The scope of the current study is to analyze growth of internet-based WAN solution in last 5 years compared to MPLS service to strengthen digital footprint and easy access of cloud applications by local breakout to the public Internet through secured cloud proxy.
