Chain Codes

A suitable and often used representation for lines are chain codes. The basic principles of chain codes were already introduced in section 15.4. In ĭππоς, a class for chain codes is implemented. Thus, an abstract data type Chain is available and can be used for applications and subsequent image recognition stages. In the following project some further methods have to be added to this elementary class. Some of the described algorithms were suggested in [Fre80, Zam91].
