Control and stabilization of large scale networked systems is an interesting problem in science and engineering. In this paper, we consider the impulsive pinning control problem and identify the best impulsive controllers to maximize the convergence rate of multi-agent systems with directed graph topologies. Based on the matrix perturbation theory, we derive formulas in terms of first-order approximation, which indicates that the normalized nonnegative left eigenvector of the Laplacian matrix corresponding to eigenvalue zero measures the importance of node in impulsive pinning control multi-agent systems. Numerical experiments on different networks reveal the effectiveness of theoretical results.
