On the Restoration of Stone Carvings from Xiao Hong's Tomb in the Southern Dynasties

This paper describes the purpose and importance of digital restoration of stone carvings from Xiao Hong's tomb, the characteristics, patterns and structures of these stone carvings, as well as the difficulty of computer repairing the stone carvings and how to make breakthroughs. This paper describes how to progress in the process of digital restoration, the data collection, and the author's views on Xiao Hong's stone carvings. In order to restore the integrity of stone carvings from Xiao Hong's tomb, 3D Max, rhino and other electronic computer technologies are used in the process. The results show that this kind of electronic computer technology combined with the collection of materials can achieve the effect of repairing stone carvings from Xiao Hong's tomb on data, which can give great help in the actual restoration.
