The Biology of Melanomas

This book is an excellent compilation of material presented at a conference on the "Biology of Normal and Atypical Pigment Cell Growth" held by the section of biology of the New York Academy of Sciences, Nov. 15 and 16, 1946, New York City. Each author, as an active investigator on a phase of pigment cell growth and on development of melanoma, prepared a paper or papers which served as focal points around which the discussions were conducted. These papers have been collected and published as "The Biology of Melanomas." Thus, all phases of the subject are presented by authorities in their respective fields. The reader is presented first with developmental subjects, followed shortly by a direct introduction to the clinical aspects.
