Programmable technologies

R. C. Seals, G. F. Whapshott · 1997

Before looking at the construction of the programmable elements, some of the basic sub-components which are used to construct them, such as conductors, diodes and transistors will be considered. All these sub-components are constructed using similar methods and processes which have been described in chapter 1. Following this, the programmable technologies themselves will be considered, along with how they are structured; finally, the chapter will close with a case study which examines some of the important parameters used in selecting programmable logic for a specific problem.
