Natural language processing (NLP) is one of the prime ingredients in the flourishing field of artificial intelligence. The primary job is to empower our everyday computers and communicators to purposefully and intelligently understand and process human languages. The simplest forms of NLP are spell-checking, suggested email and messaging responses, and virtual assistants and chatbots. Businesses often now hold over 100 terabytes of unstructured data – everything from call centre notes and customer emails to comments in surveys. Smartphones with voice and virtual assistants embedded use the NLP capability extensively. Human-machine interactions happen naturally. For this, smartphones intrinsically leverage NLP to understand, learn, and answer accordingly. A fascinating example of this capability is applied in a real-world situation. Finally, companies sell their products and provide solutions and services based on different products. Consumers express their opinions, feedbacks, comments, clarifications, compliments, etc., on social web sites about the solutions and services.
