Software Performance

The lowest level of cohesion occurs in modules where statements are grouped together by coincidental association. In addition, the program is reviewed for the last time in an attempt to optimize it to run most efficiently. A final point to consider is the amount and scope of information that is provided to the user. The program should then be ready for filing with the software librarian at the end of the software performance step. In-depth explanations about each function and option illustrated in the first part of the package should be included as they are presented in the training exercises. An additional concern for optimization focuses on the efficient allocation and control of the computers resources sucn as peripheral devices. A simple approach to this problem informs the user of the options available at a particular point in the program and assigns a number or letter to correspond with each option.
