Three identical and spatially collocated first-order cardioid sensors are placed in orthogonal orientation to each other. This paper studies azimuth and elevation angles' direction of arrival estimation accuracy using such a triad of cardioid sensors. The accuracy is measured by Cramer-Rao bound which’ gives the lowest possible estimation error variance. The cardioidicity index$a$is assumed to be deterministic and known.
