Data security is one of the research areas exploited by researchers today, particularly due to the emergence of the Internet, generating a large amount of data every day. Nowdays, to guarantee data confidentiality, several cryptographic systems based on Hill’s cipher and matrix calculation use bi-graphic encryption (square matrices of order 2) with the normal alphabet modulo 26. However, this encryption method is not secure and reliable because of the linearity of its combination. This paper aims at proposing a hybrid encryption system to guarantee a better data confidentiality. This new system adds speed to the symmetric encryption based on matrix calculation, the asymmetric encryption strength proposed by RSA (Riverst, Shamir, and Adleman). The obtained results and the complexity of the new method show reliability and robustness of the proposed hybrid system.
