Currency Detection for Visually Challenged People using Convolutional Neural Network Model

Often, the visually impaired face a lot of issues in recognizing bank notes (bills). A system is being proposed by us, that facilitates the visually impaired people to recognize the different denominations of Indian Currencies with the basic concept being the usage of Deep Learning Algorithm. A convolutional neural network model has been built by us in which, a high volume of images of different denominations have been considered. The specimen images have been captured in different positions and physical conditions. We then plan on extending this work into a Mobile Application Framework which can be used in Android Mobiles.
