Satellite technology has the technical characteristics of all-weather, wide coverage, quasi-real-time,mobility and flexibility. In recent years, smart grids have developed rapidly, and the technical characteristics of satellite technology have increasingly met the application requirements of smart grids. This paper summarizes the classification of the satellites and the application scenarios of the satellite technology in power grid.
