Named Data Networking (NDN) is a networking architecture that follows Content Centric Networking ideology, that is, its communication is focused on content rather than hosts. Like any other networking system, it is essential for NDN to provision Quality of Service (QoS) so as to match the varying needs of various network services. One of the important components of NDN is the Content Store (CS), which caches the data at each node so that it can satisfy multiple consumer requests. CS being closely akin to a cache, uses cache replacement algorithms. Such algorithms can be implemented to provision QoS in NDN. In this paper, we present a novel CS replacement algorithm named ARC-QoS to provision QoS in NDN for delay sensitive applications. We evaluate the performance of ARC-QoS using ndnSIM 2.8 simulator to obtain experimental results that show ARC-QoS not only provides QoS for delay sensitive applications, but also prevents the starvation of low priority services.
