Performance Evaluation and Improvement of a Cloud-Native Data Analysis System Application

Cloud-native computing is a new software approach in building and running flexible, scalable, and resilient applications. Cloud-native application is easy to increase the resource requirement dynamically when deteriorated performance is from resource constraints. However, applications having low usage but excessive CPU throttling would be introduced and result in performance degradation. We evaluate a cloud-native data analysis system suffering from a CPU throttling problem, and a procedure is proposed to improve the overall response time performance.
