A remain useful life prediction is presented for two types of failure of fiber optic gyroscopes (FOGs), performance degradation failure and sudden function failure. First, parameters are estimated and performance degradation model is established based on telemetry data. Then, the cumulative failure probability function (CFP) is obtained, and the stochastic hybrid automata (SHA) model is used to analyze the competitive failure process. Finally, a simulation is carried out to verify the feasibility of the proposed method, and reveal the influence of the on-orbit operating environment on the life prediction results.
