Nine-axis Posture Sensor-based Fall Detection and Alarm System

With aging, the study of fall detection for elderly people and patients with leg injuries has become an important topic. In the laboratory, the researchers often use acceleration as an indicator for determining a fall, but in practice, the results from a single indicator are not promising. Therefore. we use a nine-axis posture sensor to settle the human posture judged by multi-indicators such as three-axis acceleration, angle, and gyroscope, by using a newly designed threshold judgment algorithm to warn the user through the alarm device to achieve timely assistance.
