Food organizations need to carry out quality control to comply with legal obligations and reduce the loss of products, in addition, maintaining freezers, refrigerators and large refrigerators in the correct maintenance flow is expensive for these organizations, since the forecasting is not performed with exceptionally reliable data. To mitigate costs, increase revenue, automate the temperature recording process, and make accurate predictions of equipment failures, a prototype based on the Internet of Things was developed, with a friendly interface to solve this problem in the operating environment. The objective of the work is to create a physical device and a virtual interface added to an intelligent system with the ability to predict when some refrigeration equipment will need maintenance, in addition to making temperature reports in the form of history. The following themes were researched in the databases: Innovation, Internet of Things, Data Generation / Analysis, Decision Making. The results are promising since the development of the prototype and its expectations regarding its use have been successful. It was found that the product can fulfill the proposed objective, based on the acquired conclusions.
