Cross-hospital Access of Electronic Medical Records on Blokckchain Platform

The situation that patients' electronic medical records are stored in different hospitals is a major barrier to speedy access of treatment history in emergency. In addition, traditional storage systems built on centralized databases suffer from unauthorized data access and tampering. Blockchain technology can provide a distributed and safe storage and secure data sharing platform for encrypted medical data with a specialized access control schema which is similar to the CP-ABE schema. This paper describes the preliminary work on a blockchain network design that can store and share electronic medical records with cross-hosnital access schema.
