Analysis of the Transient Response of Nonlinear Control Systems

Abstract The calculation by a new analytical method of the transient response of nonlinear control systems is described. If the response is oscillatory, it is possible to obtain expressions for the variation with time of the frequency and amplitude of the oscillation. The response of a servomechanism containing marked saturation, backlash, and coulomb friction has been analyzed successfully.
