A Short History of the European Workshops on Design for Testability, 1982–1992, and the European Test Conferences, 1989–1993

Throughout the 1980s and into the 1990s, a series of eight European Workshops on Design for Testability were held in various venues around Europe. This article details how the workshops came into existence, what purpose they served, who organised and hosted the workshops, and how, finally, the workshop morphed first into the European Test Conference starting in 1989 and then back into the European Test Workshop (1996) and, eventually, the European Test Symposium (2003).
