Business strikes back against hackers. A brand new survey of Fortune 500 companies says that many now have the capability of counter-attacking hackers who breach security. “Strikeback” is becoming all the rage with these companies. When released to the general public this month, Corporate America's Competitive Edge will contain 18 months worth of analysis on 320 Fortune 500 ranked firms. The project was a closely guarded secret for more than a year and operated under the code-name Turning Point. Early on, it was discovered that the distinct yet interrelated areas of information security and business intelligence were the root cause of competitive problems in corporate America.
