Indian biometric ID project hits milestones

Indian authorities have completed ‘data digitization’ of more than 1,170,000,000 people, 97% of the population, including biometric enrolment of more than 12.33% of the population. The biometric data of 915,000,000 people have been sent to UIDAI.
