Blockchain, Internet of Things, and the “New Infrastructure”

Blockchain is part of the new technology infrastructure while Internet of Things (IoT) belongs to the communication network infrastructure. “Blockchain + IoT” will play a critical role in the development of the New Infrastructure. In the near future, the amount of IoT devices deployed will greatly exceed the number of mobile devices. Various kinds of economic activities will happen between IoT devices. Introducing CBDC and stablecoins as the payment tools in IoT helps to realize use cases in the machine economy. IoT data will surpass Internet data to become a key component of the data economy. The security and reliability provided by “Blockchain + IoT” will build a solid foundation for IoT data analysis and usage. The application of “Blockchain + IoT” goes far beyond record keeping and source tracing.
