In the world of object detection commercially available, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Barcodes are two major, widespread applications. These are simple for a user and universally understandable. This paper compares the effectiveness of these two methods when applied to devices intended for tactile learning through the use of multiple objects with unique shapes and textures.
