Retrospective analysis of criminal liability for cybercrime

The article provides a retrospective analysis of the reasons and conditions of criminal acts in the field of computer technology in Russia, as well as abroad. The article covers key legal issues of mentioned crime classification. The author examines the origin of computer technologies criminal law protection in the USA, Great Britain, Sweden, Japan, and Russia. The article discusses the specific acts subject to criminalization and gives a comparative analysis of the criminal legislation of foreign countries.
