Optimization of business processes across multiple organizations includes redefining the way business is conducted as well as putting in place the systems that will support communication between multiple organizations each having their own separate systems infrastructure and requirements. With the advance of the Internet both in reliability and security and the proliferation of Internet based E-commerce applications, E-commerce has become an obvious place to look for solutions to a better and more flexible way of integrating business to business processes. The message management application (WebSuite) communicates to the message queue using server side ActiveX controls and ftp to send and receive files between systems. Security for the enterprise is intended to prevent unauthorized users from accessing data and potentially damaging enterprise systems and data. Data Security is required to protect the information that is transferred between supplier and manufacturer over the public domain of the Internet.
