Germans report on ID cards

The German Parliament's Office of Technology Assessment (OTA) has published a report looking into the technical, political and legal issues surrounding the introduction of biometric identifiers in ID cards and passports. It has identified numerous challenges that still need to be overcome before their introduction should be considered.
