Multimodal Meme Sentiment Analysis with Image Inpainting

In the contemporary world, social media has proved to be a crucial platform in shaping and influencing the public view. With the rise in popularity of platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. we have seen an equal rise in the prevalence of internet memes. Memes are used by people to share their experiences and convey their opinions. To get a broader understanding of memes, this paper presents a Multimodal model for Sentiment Analysis of Memes with an accuracy of 78.16% which beats the existing methods with the same objectives.
