Data Transmission in Multi-Hop Cluster Using Blockchain in a Clustered Wireless Sensor Network (CWSN)

Wireless sensor network (WSN) performs a major role in many of the application areas. Such networks are implemented with a cluster concept and perform the data transfer operation efficiently. In such clustered WSN, data move from one node to another node freely. It is prone to different types of attacks. In this chapter, we have proposed a novel approach of making the data secured by applying the concept of blockchain. As the data flow through several nodes, blocks are created at each level to make the data secured. We have applied this concept to secure the data from man in middle attack and non-repudiation. Theoretical analysis of the proposed approach is performed with respect to time. The experimental analysis of the proposed method with respect to several parameters proves that this proposed approach performs better.
