The paper presents a review of the latest research in Industry 4.0’s and the futuristic development in the field. The implementation of new technology based on our innovation for data transfer using optic fibers, the Internet and the cyber-physical systems leads to significant improvements, that further results in the increase of automation and it also minimizes the period between the development of a new product and their market launch which is in existence. Remarkable developments can be seen in the field of optical fiber communication in the last decade. Wide-bandwidth signal transmission with low latency is emerging as a key requirement in several applications, Optical fibers provide a dedicated connection and consistent speed, unsurpassed transmission bandwidth, Optical fiber is the latest transmission medium of choice for long distance and high bit rate transmission in telecommunications networks. The main theme is to establish the M2M communication using OFC. While establishing this point-to-point communication we would have to identify a new interface from existing technology and other communication protocols conversation for successful implementation. Selection of sensor, actuator for M2M communication using OFC to be done for any type of industry to provide solution. For implementation of this work signal conversion interface to be used for converting electrical signal of the sensor into optical signal for transmission. Two types of interfaces were found, and selection of the best was done after conducting the experiment and testing the data.
