Chapter SummaryIn this chapter we discussed our first case study. We described a micro city network at Camp LeJeune in the USA. The current management system at Camp LeJeune is essentially a network management system. However, the goal is to transform the network management system into an enterprise management system that monitors and controls computer systems, applications, and services in addition to the network. We described a candidate integrated system that includes Aprisma’s Spectrum, Dirig’s Proctor, Opticom’s iView, Gecko’s Saman, and Remedy’s Help Desk.Finally, we discussed the challenges of deploying and configuring the integrated systems.
